Remember there’s nothing on this site beyond Grade 3 level – if you’re an intermediate or advanced drummer this is not the site for you! Everything on here is designed to help those who are just getting started on the drum kit and to help you learn how to play this wonderful instrument. Once you’ve worked through all of the information on here or even taken your Grade 3 exam there’s a world of drumming open to you. Now go play drums! :-)

Get a Good Drum Teacher!

Snare DrumIf you think you don’t need a drum teacher think again! This site is NOT a substitute for a drum teacher. A good teacher will watch every aspect of your playing and can advise on everything from posture and grip through to when they think you’re ready to move on to the next exercises. I cannot emphasise this enough – GET A GOOD TEACHER! However, not all of us live in parts of the world where teachers are accessible, or perhaps you’ve made the decision not to have lessons at the moment or perhaps you’re a teacher looking for some extra lesson resources (MANY teachers use resources from Beginner Drums as part of their teaching programme). If you’re still in any doubt have a read of this article as to why it’s so important to have a good drum teacher. Here are some resources to help you find one:
